Fluid Power Services Corp. a Lancaster, N.Y.-based company was awarded a contract by the U.S. Department of Transportation, Saint Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation in September 2005 in excess of $500,000.

This contract covered the design, supply, and installation of new hydraulic systems to control the emergency lift gate that is part of the Saint Lawrence Seaway.

Fluid Power is no stranger to the world of entertainment. Although its primary focus is in the mobile and industrial sector, in the past few years the company has been involved in “show biz” projects.

In May, the result of Fluid Power’s engineering and hydraulic system will be seen at the water show at the new Wynn Resorts Hotel in Las Vegas, NV.

In the past, Fluid Power has been good enough for Arnold Schwarzenegger and Terminator 2, and over the course of 23 years, the Buffalo, NY-based company has been pumping out hydraulic repair success stories for its customers throughout New York State - and across the nation. Much so, that the company has been on an expansion binge, even during a time when most firms are scaling back.
